High Power Amplifiers:
A High Power Amplifier is an equipment used to amplify a signal before it is transmitted to other
mediums. Some different mechanics and uplinks include during the process. The type of amplifier
usually specifies the factors of the signals. In an uplink design, reliability, linearity, efficiency,
productivity, and cost are major considerations. There are three types of amplifiers you can find in the

- Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA)
Klystron Power Amplifier: It is a low power linear beam vacuum tube used to amplify for high radio
frequencies. The simplest klystrons a two microwave cavity resonators that act as a “buncher” and
“catcher”.
TWTA: A traveling wave Tube Amplifier also known as TWT amplifier is a specialized vacuum tube used
in various electronic devices that are used to amplify radio frequency signals in a broad range. It belongs
to a category of the linear beam just like Klystron. There are various types of TWT amplifiers with two
major categories: Couple Cavity TWT and Helix TWT. Couple Cavity TWT is a method in which radio
waves interact in a series. Helix TWT is a method in which radio waves interact with electron beam over
helix wires. The output power is limited but it has a wide bandwidth.
SSPA: A solid State Power Amplifier offers a wide range of High Amplifier devices used in the commercial
and military space applications. It is designed to use in most demanding areas including restricted
communications, radars, airborne, and missiles.
High Power RF Amplifier:
A High Power Radio Frequency Amplifier is an electronic device used to convert low-power radio
frequency signals into high power signals. They operate in different modes called "classes". The basic
application of the RF amplifier includes a main source, transmitting antenna, and a microwave cavity
resonator. Transmitter-receivers are also used, but they are only limited to voice/data communication
and weather sensing over a radar. They are user-friendly microprocessors with an integrated computer
interface for improved intermodal performance.
