The Multibridge Eclipse from Blackmagic is an analog to digital bi-directional converter for video and audio signals. The Multibridge includes an external breakout box and a PCI Express x4 host card for computer connectivity. It supports 3 Gb/s SDI Dual Link, HDMI, component, NTSC composite and PAL composite video input and output. Supported audio formats include balanced XLR and AES/EBU. Genlock and RS-422 deck control are also part of the system, making it an excellent choice for broadcast environments.
The Eclipse features SDI, HDMI, component analog, and NTSC/PAL connections for capture and playback. It can instantly switch between SD, HD and 2K resolutions. The converter also features support for 12 channels of XLR AES/EBU audio input and output, and four channels of XLR analog audio input and output. It is compatible with professional equipment such as Betacam SP, HD set top boxes, HDV cameras, Digital Betacam, HDCAM, HD-D5, HDCAM SR, audio mixers and more.
3 Gb/s SDI Technology
The 3 Gb/s SDI connections deliver twice the bandwidth of traditional HD-SDI. This allows you to work with 4:4:4 HD footage using a single BNC connection. The box also supports 2K via SDI for real-time 2048 x 1556 feature film editing.
The Eclipse is compatible with Mac OS X, Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems. It can be used with Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Combustion, Shake and many other professional video applications.
