One of the essential ‘building blocks’ in a broadcast installation is the distribution amplifier. Unfortunately they are often left out of the scheme on cost grounds, leaving the system open to potential disaster. A more sophisticated stereo unit, with 5 stereo outputs, which may be used for two independent sources. The design of this unit is such that any input or output may be connected to unbalanced equipment without affecting gain. For applications such as deriving ‘station mono’ each individual pair of outputs has an associated internal header which sums the two inputs to give two mono outputs (other output pairs are unaffected). Provision is made for the addition of PCB mounted transformers and input load resistors to suit line receiving applications. IU rack mounting.
