The Programmable Panel Series of
router control panels combine the simplicity of
button-per-crosspoint operation with the flexibility of
user definable button mapping.
The button-per-crosspoint control panels may be ordered
as remotes for the Integrator®,
Integrator Gold™, and Panacea™ routing switcher
series. Alternatively for Panacea
routing systems, the button-per-crosspoint control
panels may be installed as a local
control panel mounted at the front of the frame.
All panels have back lit, positive touch pushbuttons
which may be labeled using the clear
film legends provided or by user customized legends
printed by the panel configuration
utility.

PRODUCT DETAILS
Wide Range of Sizes
The panels are available in a wide range of sizes for
both X-Y (32x32 to 4x4) and single bus
configurations (64x1 to 4x1). Some panel configurations
are achieved as alternate mappings to a panel’s
default hardware configuration (for example a 16x16
panel may be configured as a dual 16x1). For
custom applications the user may choose to ignore all
templates provided and configure a custom sized
panel. Refer to the ordering chart on the following
page for hardware and configuration options.
Default "DIP Switch" Configuration Mode
For simple installations the Programmable Panel Series
panels may be configured without a computer
using DIP switches located at the rear of the panel. In
this mode DIP switches determine the levels and

destination controlled by the panel. Source and destination buttons are mapped
one to one with
physical inputs and outputs on the router.
In DIP switch configuration mode, the control panel’s
two function buttons provide the following
functionality:
• Panel Enable allows the user to disable the panel
preventing anyone from accidentally changing the
router.
• Destination Lock allows locking of a router
destination, preventing any panel (including the panel
which invoked the lock) from changing the source
connected to the destination.
Downloaded Configuration Mode
To take full advantage of Programmable Panel Series
flexibility, the panels may be configured and
downloaded using RouterMAPPER®, a Windows®-based panel
configuration utility provided free of
charge with every Programmable Panel Series control
panel.
When configured using RouterMAPPER, Programmable Panel
Series panels provide the following
capabilities:
Mappable Source and Destination Buttons
Different panels may be configured to control different
destinations or offer different source selections.
Furthermore, physical buttons may be programmed to
represent different logical sources/destinations
made up of different physical inputs/outputs on the
router.
Salvo Programming and Execution
RouterMAPPER can be used to create salvos (sequence of
multiple crosspoint takes executed
simultaneously) which are then downloaded to buttons on
the control panels for execution.
The panel’s two function buttons may be programmed for
any two of the following:
• Panel Enable allows the user to disable the panel preventing anyone from
accidentally changing the
router.
• Destination Lock allows locking of a router destination, preventing any panel
(including the panel
which invoked the lock) from changing the source connected
to the destination.
• Destination Protect locks the destination from any panel other than the panel
that invoked the
protect.
• Take for two step crosspoint selection.
• Shift allows for two handed salvo execution and
doubling of available sources.
Refer to the information page on RouterMAPPER for more
details and screen examples of this powerful
panel configuration utility.
Compatible with Other Programmable Panel Series Panels
The butto-per-crosspoint control panels are compatible
with other Programmable Panel Series panels
such as the Single Bus Breakaway (16x1SBAp) and
Alphanumeric Breakaway (ABAp) panels. Multiple
panels of different styles and sizes in the
Programmable Panel Series can be used concurrently to
control the same routing switcher.
